CCA · Annealing
Heating and cooling at a controlled rate to soften steel and set its structure before machining or further treatment.
Source · typical industry profile
What it does
Softer, more even steel to machine.
Forged or cold-worked stock can be hard and uneven. A controlled cool gives a consistent structure, so tools last and parts respond the same way when they are hardened later.
- We set the cycle to the grade and incoming condition, and confirm it against your drawing before quoting. CCA is the code on our inspection tags.
- Tell us the grade, incoming condition and the hardness or structure you need.
